Fisgard Lighthouse — A Piece of Island History From Above

Sitting quietly at the edge of Esquimalt Harbour, Fisgard Lighthouse is one of those places that never needs dramatic weather or perfect light to look beautiful — it carries its own character no matter the season. Built in 1860, it’s the oldest lighthouse on the West Coast of Canada, and from the air you really see how it anchors the coastline around it: the rock, the shoreline, the narrow causeway, and the calm water that surrounds the point.

These frames capture the lighthouse exactly as it was that morning — simple, weathered, and unmistakably Vancouver Island. A reminder of how much story can be held in a single, quiet landmark.
